ECU Club Swimming is a student run organization. We work closely with the Club Sports Department and our adviser Janis Steele. Our club is open to all students and faculty members. Our goal is to promote the sport of swimming through competing in meets, working towards individual and team goals, and participating in practices, team activities, and building strong relationships. Our club has four officers. There is a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Social Chair. Our officers are responsible for keeping the club together and planning swim meets, fundraisers, and social events for the team.
Our Competition Team is for members who are interested in competing in meets throughout the Fall/Spring semesters. Each member will have a chance to sign up for the East Coast Championship Meet, located at Atlanta, GA, in the spring. The responsibilities and commitment requirements are explained more thoroughly in our team constitution.
We ask for each of our members to pay dues. The dues we ask for go towards team apparel, meet fees, traveling expenses, and other club activities. We participate in fundraisers throughout our season to decrease the financial burden. The dues for the Competition Team is $200 for the entire season. All of our team apparel is included in the competition team dues. We do not want money to ever be an issue for any of our swimmers!
